The Threshold Tree

Only one tree was felled on the site of the project. This pine tree, located just inside the entrance gate was one of the trees remaining from the original plantation. The tree, although modest in size, encapsulated the character of the project and became a framing device for the front door. The tree was 3d scanned and carefully modelled and drawn in the context of the building. The final installation still relied upon the strength of many hands and the careful carpentry by Bruce.
